GLADD has had a bit of a social whirl theme in 2008 with the launch of the new members website and the festive spirit being once more in the air again at the New Year Party in January back at Candid Arts, this time with the fabulous addition of the glamourous hostess Timberlina.

Despite the small executive this was a year of change with the launch of a Facebook group and a review of the administration support for GLADD and its finances, leaving GLADD in a much stronger and transparent position to face the years to come.

The AGM in London saw the President of the Royal College of Psychiatrists give the Peter King lecture on professionalism and the challenges facing us looking forward, followed by some rousing debate.

There have also been a range of events across the country organised by GLADD members from dinners to film outings and it's great to see the networking side of GLADD doing so well.
