GLADD does not provide medical advice or advice on where to find a LGBT doctor or dentist. However we recognise that many doctors, dentists and LGBT people often find themselves in situtations where they need support and inpartial advice.

We would suggest the following as potential places to find support:

This is a BMA run service for doctors in distress or difficulty. The service has experience supporting doctors who have sero-converted, experiences extortion or blackmail or are going through a whole host of other challenges.

LGBT Switchboard

This is an independant volunteer run service providing counselling, support and signposting for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender individuals. This is the national number but there are also regional switchboards and you can find out more at http://www.switchboard.org.uk/

The London Switchboard has recently merged with Broken Rainbow so now provided dedicated support for LGB and T people experiencing domestic violence.

 THT Direct

This is a national support line for people affected by HIV. You can call THT Direct on 0845 1221 200 between 10am and 10pm on Monday to Friday, and from 12 noon to 6pm on Saturday and Sunday.
